UW-Platteville Pioneer Farm

Topics focus broadly on water quality and soil health and the practices that can help local farmers continuously improve. Hosted by UW-Platteville Pioneer Farm,  Lunch starts at 11:30, field demos to follow.

When: Thurs. Aug. 15

Where: UW-Platteville Pioneer Farm Look for signage.

Details: Lunch and seating will be in the educational pavilion. Field day will proceed rain or shine. Restrooms available. Water provided. Consider sunscreen and bug spray.

Agenda:

11:30 A.M.  Buffet lunch catered by The General Store

12:30 P.M.   Attendees split into four groups and proceed through four designated stations:

  • Soil pit and table-top rainfall simulator
  • UW-Platteville research trials and implications
  • Ground water quality monitoring infrastructure
  • LASA member experiences and information

2:30 P.M.   Field Day Concludes
